I am an in-house attorney practicing in Irvine, California. Take a look at my curriculum vitae.

I am admitted to practice law in:

• the State of California; and

• the United States Patent and Trademark Office, my company being pretty high tech.

I maintain inactive status with the State Bar of Texas. I can reinstate my former "active" status as a matter of right at any time, but am unlikely to do so, since:

• that costs a fair amount of extra money; and

• I've done no more than "just passing through" in Texas for decades.

I don't have an outside practice.

• I do not sell (let alone give) legal advice, nor otherwise practice law, except on behalf of my employer.

• When I expound my views on the law, you should consider them to have the same authority as the views expounded by your favorite used-car salesman.

• You are not my client.

• I am a member of the Orange County (California) Bar Association, which has a Lawyer Referral & Information Service. The last time I checked, it alleged that it met American Bar Association (ABA) standards set forth for referral services, and that it was certified by the State Bar of California. That allegation was probably true then, and probably remains true now. Contact them -- and not me -- if you need legal services.
