From the North:

  • Take I-5 south to San Clemente, and take the Camino de Estrella exit (just after I-5 merges with the 1).

    • Do not take the Camino Capistrano exit (which is somewhat north of the Camino de Estrella exit), even though you'll be on Camino Capistrano later.

    • Yes, Camino Capistrano will get you here. Eventually. And only after a lot of twists, turns, and red lights.

  • Once you've taken the Camino de Estrella exit, turn right onto Camino de Estrella, and take it to where it dead-ends at Camino Capistrano.

  • Turn left onto Camino Capistrano, and go a mile to Monte Vista. You'll be just starting to go down the hill, and be just starting the gentle curve to the right.

  • Turn right onto Monte Vista, and go half-way down the block.

  • Look for the yellow-and-black "M" sign on the right.

  • Turn right onto Camino Capistrano, and go a fifth of a mile (second left) to Monte Vista. You'll be just ending your trip up the hill, and just ending the gentle curve to the left.

  • Turn left onto Monte Vista, and go half-way down the block.

  • Look for the yellow-and-black "M" sign on the right.

    • Either way, once you've go to San Clemente "North Beach" station, take the connecting OCTA bus to go north on El Camino Real (which really should be called Pacific Coast Highway) up the coast to the party:

Get off at the intersection of Avenida Vaquero and Via Cascadita. Walk back to  Camino Capistrano, then up the hill  to Monte Vista (first left). We're half-way down the block. • Or just call me when you get to the station. I'll drive the mile and pick you up. And I'll drive you back when the party is over.
